Alrighty, I'm at work and ran out of things to do to kill time till 9am, I've decided to drop by here to pen some thoughts..
For a start, my throat's not being nice to me and I've been drinking water like crazy. How I've known my own health, a harmless sore throat can cause a temperature to run. So I'm hoping it'll stop at this.
Past few days, I've been thinking quite abit on how first impressions are formed. Undeniably, first impressions are important if you're in for an interview for a job. You'll have to present yourself to the best possible of your ability in terms of physical outlook and your ability to relate to the job. I believe some may even go the extent of having a memorised script to introduce themselves and stuffs to say during the interview. Understandable.
How about meeting new people? What kind of first impression do you give to a stranger whom you just met? Matter of fact, we have a tendency to form an image of how the other party is like after the initial conversation. How accurate will this first impression be?
What if the person unintentionally offended you in a way that he/she doesn't even know? Bad impression formed huh? If you're not judgmental, then chances of establishing a friendship are still present. On the other hand, some people can't take the slightest offense. They leave it at that and the future of a possible great friendship ends. Which type do you belong to? :)
Such instances can also be used for people whom you already classified as your friends. One day, if they do something to piss you off real badly, how're you gonna react? I, being a more "dormant volcano", will shrug it off and move on. I've said it, it's dormant. Try me to the limits, you gonna be burnt. No one has been victim, yet. Are you a "dormant volcano" or an "active" one?
Back to first impressions, I found out from some friends about what they thought of me when they just got to know me. And I had a few shocks and surprises. Names will remain confidential but you know who you are though.. LOL!
Not in any particular order or whatsoever. But got shock rating for each.

Where'd you get that from? I don't wear/carry labels. And I dress kinda sloppily at times. C'mon. LOL!

Hmm, see, I haven't even thrown a tantrum or showed attitude problem. Where does this come from? HAHA!
# I'm a playboy, or a jerk. Or anything similar to this. [*****]
What?? I'm super shocked when I heard this. Where and how you get this impression?? I'm uber shocked. LOL!
# I'm spontaneous+talkative OR shy+quiet. [**]
I can be either depending on my mood at that point of time actually. And I don't wanna end up talking too much and being a pest. Oh, topic(s) of similar interest plays a part too. HAH!
# I like nightlife. e.g. clubbing, drinking/boozing, partying. [****]
I wonder how? Some tell me, "by the looks of you". Don't be mistaken that I'm anti-nightlife ok? I'm just surprised, that's all. :)
