A great Saturday! :)

Father's Day service really brought down and made the love of our Heavenly Father so tangible.

God is like our earthly parents. He has "insurance plans" for us. When the time is right, it'll mature and we will be blessed according to what we can sustain.

Yes, we may make prayer requests. But when it seems like it's been turned down, it doesn't mean that God is angry or ignoring us. There's a time for everything.

There are examples of hoping to receive something over the years of birthdays but you still didn't get what you wished for. Like a new toy, a bag or even a bicycle for night cycling. Pastor Tan used his own childhood experience to illustrate this point. He finally understood the reason when he became a father. He said if his child asks for a bicycle for night cycling, he'll reject just like his own father did, when he was young. Because he now understands that his father was trying to protect him from the possible dangers of going night cycling. And this is precisely how God reacts as a Heavenly Father, to protect us.

I did some searching and found an interesting read. Sure is encouraging. :)

In Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)..

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

God is never late, He is seldom early, He is always right on time.

In summary, we set human deadlines and God ignores them for at least four reasons :

1. To increase our faith
2. To increase our vision
3. To increase our testimony
4. To increase our compassion

Good night everyone and have a blessed Sunday.

Happy Father's Day.
