Update update! Yessssss, finally. For the past week plus, I've been job hunting and my efforts have finally paid off. Starting work next Monday, job placement is official and I'm going to sign the letter of appointment tomorrow. Since this is a permanent job, I'm gonna put in my best to it. My thanks to Debbie for being around for me, to encourage me and nudging me when I was feeling lost. Thanks to Diana for her prayers and yes, prayers are requests made up to Daddy up high so He will see to it. =)
And the interview? Haha. It's a funny thing. I went to the office and during the 30mins or so I was waiting, there were like 4 blackouts. 2 sudden and 2 due to repairs by technicians. So, after the wait, the interviewer came and my heart was pounding since I know it's either make or break it. Furthermore, there were 2 of them. So I yelled inside to Daddy, "Calm me down, please."
I proceeded with them to the discussion area, cosy corner in the office and the interview was on the way. Started with some basic intro about myself then went on to questions from both of them. Since this company I'm at is dealing with the area of my interest, I managed to get into the flow very fast. The questions posed by them, some were funny but some were really tricky. Aiyah, I shan't go into the details. If not, this entry will sound like a dialogue for a skit.
So yes, I thought most interviews would take about 15 - 3omins max. Nope, I was wrong about this. Cos mine lasted about an hour plus. It became something like a chit chat session to break the ice between new friends. It turned out to be smooth and boy, was I elated! Like totally! *quotes from Deb*
Yup, after the interview session, the interviewer saw me out the office and I asked, "How long before I get a reply?". The reply was, "Maybe 1 week max." I was disappointed hearing that because I really wanna start the working momentum going already. Left with disappointment and there was a downpour outside. I was thinking if I was getting the job again..
Debbie darling called and she asked about my interview. Told her what happened and she concluded that I was gonna get it, no doubt. My heart fought with doubts though.. Trip back was horrendous. Imagining how it would be if I wasn't hired and it would mean back to square one. Shucks.
5.59pm, a call. Familiar number which I've seen before. It was the company's number and the extension was way too familiar as well. Picked it up, heard a familiar voice. Yes, the conversation I was praying for. The job that I/Debbie/Diana/Janet prayed for is now placed right in front of me.
I was happy. Really happy. Never did I expect the confirmation to come so speedy. Interview just 2hours ago and the offer came 2 hours later.
I just thanked Daddy.
I know it is Him.
